PSG, OM, Monaco and Lille pinned by UEFA
Zapping Foot National Top 10 winners of the Coupe de France
This Friday evening, UEFA unveiled its report on the Financial Fair Play of European clubs. As expected, Paris-Saint-Germain and Olympique de Marseille were pinned, as was AS Monaco. If the three French giants have escaped heavy penalties, they will still have to pay a fine. The clubs have three years to get into the nails of financial fair play under penalty of more severe sanctions which could go as far as exclusion from the European Cups.
PSG are expensive, OM and Monaco are doing well!
Paris-Saint-Germain is the club with the longest sanction, having spent a lot of money in recent years without succeeding in selling. If the arrival of Luis Campos has reversed this trend, the new sporting director of the capital club will have to do with a sword of Damocles hanging over his head. The reigning French champion will have to pay 10M€, while the sum could go up to 65M€!
Settlement agreements have been reached with eight clubs that failed to meet break even requirements.
The clubs have agreed financial contributions, specific targets and conditional and unconditional sporting restrictions over the coming years.

For their part, OM and AS Monaco were fined €300,000. An amount likely to rise to €2 million if the two clubs from the South fail to meet their commitments by the 2025/2026 season. Lille was also sanctioned for having only ” partially met the objectives set for the 2021-2022 season “said UEFA in recent hours. The Mastiffs therefore suffer from a double sanction: elimination of the number of players that a club can register on the list communicated to UEFA and transfer restrictions for this season.
