On Thursday, the crown princess was present at the Loneliness Conference in Herning, where she was one of the main speakers.
The aim of the conference is to shed light on loneliness, and it brings together professionals and actors who come up with concrete proposals on how to help people who experience being lonely.

The next queen of Denmark also makes a revelation about her own experiences with loneliness. She said that she is known for being lonely after her mother’s death.
It was in 1997 that Mary lost her mother, Henrietta Clark Donaldson, to complications following heart surgery.
– I have felt lonely at different times in my life. Especially when I lost my mother. It was a very lonely period in my life, the crown princess told candidly.
Mary also took the time to shed light on other people’s stories of loneliness. A young girl named Signe came forward with her personal story of being lonely. The crown princess praised her for that.
