3rd league: 1:4 in Munich! MSV Duisburg experiences debacle at Raeder debut
MSV Duisburg lost its away game at TSV 1860 1:4 (1:4). The party was decided after 35 minutes. Lukas Raeder’s debut went awry.
After five games without defeat MSV Duisburg have to suffer a bitter bankruptcy. At the table leader 1860 Munich at the end it was 1:4 (1:4).
Changed compared to the 1-1 draw against Oldenburg Torsten Ziegler his starting eleven in three positions. Caspar Jander, who tore a ligament on Monday evening, will be out indefinitely. For the youngster, Marlon Frey started in central midfield alongside Marvin Bakalorz. Aziz Bouhaddouz had to make way for Benjamin Girth. The new striker had already proved his marksmanship in his first two games.
The short-term goalkeeper change was not planned. Vincent Müller, who was in such good form, complained about being unwell overnight and gave the sign after warming up that he was not able to play. New signing Lukas Raeder thus moved between the posts – it was the competitive game premiere for the native of Essen and former Schalke player. It was less than two minutes before the MSV substitute keeper had to reach behind him for the first time.
After Frey lost the ball, Albion Vrenezi volleyed a Joseph Boyamba cross from the penalty spot to make it 1-0 early (2′). The zebras tried hard to show a quick reaction. But just ten minutes later, the efficient “lions” struck again. 1860 shooting star Fynn Lakenmacher put the ball from a central position against the left inside post after a pass by Stefan Lex, from where the ball jumped behind the line (12′).
MSV: Raeder – Bitter, Mai, Senger, Kölle (72nd Pusch) – Bakalorz (46th Stierlin), Frey (46th Bouhaddouz) – Ajani (72nd Hettwer), Ekene, Stoppelkamp – Gurt (62nd König).

Crack: 1: 0 Vrenezi (2nd), 2: 0 Lakenmacher (12th), 3: 0 Vrenezi (32nd), 4: 0 Deichmann (35th), 4: 1 own goal Hiller (42nd).
And the people of Munich continue happily. A good half hour was played when Vrenezi made it 3-0 with a dream goal (32nd). The midfielder moved in Robben-style from the left and hit the right corner of the cross. It got even worse for the Meidericher. Yannick Deichmann netted from eight yards out to make it 4-0 (35′) after Marvin Senger jumped under a cross.
Marco Fritz didn’t whistle against Moritz Stoppelkamp (4th) and Benjamin Girth (25th). Shortly before the break, Daniel Wein brought down the fueled-up Marvin Ajani in the penalty area. But Moritz Stoppelkamp missed the penalty. The captain aimed for the left corner, Hiller suspected the corner and made a strong save. A few seconds later, both were back in the spotlight. The 1860 keeper unluckily punched a sharp Stubblekamp cross into his own goal to make it 4-1 at the break. The “Lions” presented themselves extremely enthusiastically in the first round, while the MSV defense experienced 45 minutes to forget.
Round two was much quieter. Substitute Aziz Bouhaddouz missed the big chance to make it 4-2 in the 60th minute. The veteran’s lob flew just over Hiller’s box. A little later, Niklas Kölle and Niklas Lang had to leave the field after both had hit their heads in the air duel. In the end nothing more happens.
While TSV remains the undefeated leader of the 3rd division, the Zebras conceded their defeat of the season and after the second winless second game in a row slipped back into mediocrity. Next Sunday Dynamo Dresden is a guest in the Schauinsland Reisen Arena.
