With a victory over Greece on Tuesday in Cardiff, Wales set up a match for the World Cup finals against Slovenia.
Wales took a big step towards qualifying for the Women’s World Cup with a 1-0 win over Greece.
Carrie Jones’ first international goal saved the game in Volos, the teenager scoring at the second attempt in the 34th minute after Gemma Evans’ long free-kick hit into the box.
The three points from their penultimate qualifier keep Wales second in Group I and will secure a place in the play-offs if they avoid defeat against third-placed Slovenia in Cardiff next Tuesday.
But Slovenia beat Kazakhstan 1-0 and could still leapfrog Wales into second place if they win in Cardiff.
Wales are expected to be supported by 10,000 spectators at the historic meeting at Cardiff City Stadium.
