Prague – Up to 800 American Harley-Davison motorcycles will pass through the center of Prague this morning. The ride will take place as part of the tenth annual Prague Harley Days, which started on Friday at the Prague Exhibition Center and will last until Sunday. Motorcyclists will pass, for example, the highway, Wenceslas Square or Masarykovo Nábřeží from Výstaviště.
Motorcyclists will start lining up in the lower part of the Exhibition Center from 9:00 a.m. and after about an hour and a half they should set off towards the center of Prague. They will pass through Veletržní and Bubenská streets, then head to Hlávkův bridge, then continue along the highway, from where they will cross to Wenceslas Square. A stop is planned there. From Wenceslas Square, they should then continue along Sokolská and Žitná streets to Karlové náměstí and then along the Masaryk embankment and across the Čechův bridge back to the Exhibition Center.
According to the organizers, the ride is intended not only for owners of Harley-Davidson motorcycles, but for riders of all brands, including scooters. “The Spanish ride is a huge experience every year, which many motorcyclists take part in at Prague Harley Days,” said the organizer Jaroslav Vavřina during the presentation of the event in August.
The ride will start on the second day of Prague Harley Days. The official opening of the event will be on Saturday at 1 pm on the main stage again at Křižík’s fountain in the lower part of the Exhibition Grounds. This year, too, the event is connected with Burgerfest, which celebrated its tenth anniversary last year.
Until Sunday, the Czech armed forces also joined the event. The army exhibits current and historical equipment on it. The Pandur infantry fighting vehicle, the DANA self-propelled howitzer, the Kajman combat vehicle or the RBS-70 anti-aircraft missile system must be seen. Military motorcycles are part of the exhibition, for example Castle Guard machines or historical military motorcycles from abroad.
