Hugo Lami represents Portugal in European collective painting in Prague
ONE artist 2 the leading artists7 from countries in each of the EU countries, will work during the fair, which opens in the late afternoon, held in London.
A mural where the messages of the communist regime were written, the mural where it became a place where admirers wrote tributes to the British musician, one of the four founders of the Beatles, after the murder in 1980.
The mural remains a tourist attraction.
Graduated in Painting at the Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa, Hugo Zami completed a Masters in Sculpture at the Royal College of Art in London and developed a multifaceted work of painting, sculpture, multimedia installation, performance and digital art.
Since 2014 he has exhibited in galleries and institutional spaces and in 2018 he produced a public sculpture in Ermioni, Greece.
In 2019, he received the Público award at the VIA Arts Prize, created in 2015 by the embassies of Portugal, Spain and Latin American countries and open artists in the United Kingdom inspired by Ibero-American culture.
Czech Republic assumed the biannual presidency of the Council of the EU until the end of July of the year.
