The popularity of this name is still growing, for example in 2008, according to data from the Czech Statistical Office, it was the fourth most common name among newborns.
A number of famous bearers of this name can also be found in history. For example, the French queen Adéla of Aquitaine (945?–1004), Adéla of Flanders (1064?–1115), queen of Denmark, duchess of Apulia and Calabria, or Adéla Míšeňská (1160–1211), queen of Bohemia, wife of Přemysl Otakar I.
Adélka can also be found in Babička Božena Němcová, as another of the grandmother’s grandchildren alongside Barunka, Jan and Vilém, and Princess Adélka is also one of the main characters in the 1984 film fairy tale S čerty najn jerty, where she is the opposite of the malicious and cocky Angelina.
Probably the most famous film Adéla (at least here) is probably the carnivorous plant in the film Oldřich Lipský AND Jiří Brdečky Adéla has not had dinner yet from 1977. The main hero is, as is well known, the famous detective Nick Carter, who in Prague helps Police Commissioner Ledvin solve a mysterious crime – the disappearance of Countess Thunová’s dog. It turns out that Carter’s opponent is his eternal rival, the evil botanist, the criminal of international reputation, Count von Kratzmar. He prepares a series of dangerous and ingenious traps for Nick Carter, which, however, does not cause any special difficulties for the famous hero, who is invincible, bulletproof, fearless and intrepid.
The comedy won awards in our country and abroad, also because it was excellently cast. He portrayed the role of a great detective in an irresistible way Michal Docholomanskyyou played his Czech colleague Rudolf Hrušínskythe role of the evil son was an unforgettable creation Miloš Kopecky. By the way, the role of Nick Carter was offered to the American actor Robert Redford, who liked the script, but his agent laughed at the fee. The costumes are the work Theodore Pištek and in the animated part of the film she is dangerous Jan Svankmajer, who also created the form of the carnivorous Adéla, which he also animated brilliantly. An excellent camera also contributed to the film’s success Jaroslav Kučera, which perfectly captured the charms and atmosphere of art nouveau Prague. The author of the music was an outstanding Czech composer of film music Luboš Fischer.
Luboš Fischer (1935–1999) was discovered as a composer of contemporary classical music as well as a sought-after and awarded composer of music for films and television productions. In this direction, he has over 300 titles at his end.
Luboš Fišer was born in Prague. He studied composition at the conservatory under the direction of the composer Emil Hlobil and graduated with his Symphony No. 1. Under the direction of Emil Hlobil, he then supplemented his studies at the music faculty of the AMU, which he graduated with his 2nd symphony. One of his professors was the harpsichordist Zuzana Růžičková, whom he remembered with deep respect throughout his life. The following year, after completing his studies, Luboš Fišer staged his one-act opera Lancelot with success.
During his lifetime, Luboš Fišer composed a number of orchestral, as well as chamber and vocal compositions. His frequent sources of inspiration were the cultural monuments of the ancient past – Sumerian or Hittite texts, medieval knightly culture, the Renaissance period, or works of art by important painters of the past. The turning point in his work was the 1960s, when, like other composers of that time, he developed a series of so-called compositional procedures. New music, and incorporated elements of aleatorics and timbre music into his musical language.
He was next to it Luboš Fischer For feature films, animated films and television productions and series. Together with Zdenek Liška, he was one of the most prolific composers of Czech film music; his music was always able to perfectly capture the atmosphere of the given work, and the directors also considered it his great hard work, reliability, responsibility and professionalism.
Luboš Fišer first got into a full-length feature film in 1963, when he received a contract for the music for the film The Cucumber Hero. In the following five years, Fišer composed the music for another nine films, of which Dita Saxová and The Case for the Novice Executioner are worth mentioning. More than four dozen feature films are expected to be produced in the coming years. He was able to perfectly capture the atmosphere of the film genre, it was already the black surrealist play Valerie and the Seven Wonders, the drama Kerosene Lamps, Grandmother, Morgiana, Golden Eels, The Death of the Beautiful Deer, films from a hospital environment Attention, Visitation!, Sisters, the nostalgic film Love between Raindrops , the farce The Straw Hat or the parody comedy Adéla has not dined yet and The Secret of the Castle in the Carpathians. It was in this film that the central trio from “Adély” Michal Dočolomanský, Miloš Kopecký and Rudolf Hrušínský, who, however, switched to the side of crime in the role of the genius mad invention Orfanik.
Interesting facts about the film:
- When meeting Baron Kratzmar, Professor Albín Boček marvels at the diploma from the Faust University in Wienerschnitzelberg – which literally means “Vienna schnitzel castle”.
- During the filming, a famous photo was taken, in which Inspector Ledvina, aka Rudolf Hrušínský, leans down from a pint. The director of a brewery liked her so much that he asked her if he could include her in the company calendar. “Feel free to use the photo, but send me some beer for Christmas.” said Hrušínský. The director kept his word and before Christmas, Avia stopped by Hrušínské with a full beer.
- When the casting of Robert Redford in the role of Nick Carter did not work out, the creators also considered Jan Kodet, Ladislav Štaidl or Jaromír Hanzlík for the main role.
- The sounds of the carnivorous plants smacking Adély imitated the soapy palms, but also the water in the bathtub, the bell in the sink, a wet towel and a liter of milk in a plastic bag at the time.
- The author of the lullaby My Little Prince, Sleep, which this film popularized even among listeners who are not into classical music, is not Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, as was long believed, but the German doctor and amateur composer Bernhard Flies, who composed the lullaby for the play by Friedrich Wilhelm Gotter Esthe. Not much is known about the Berliner Flies, except that he was born sometime around 1770 and left behind a few songs and piano pieces.
- At its premiere in Prague’s Blaník cinema, the film was screened 4 times a day for 15 weeks and almost always in front of sold-out audiences. 196,000 tickets were sold and there was the same interest in other cities as well.
