The West-Eastern Divan Orchestra is playing the probability of the Jewish Museum with two concerts on Thursday and Friday. Between the pieces, the Arabic and reliable musicians report on their commitment to the peace project.
It starts at 7 p.m., with a total of nine former and active musicians of the orchestra, who bring two violins, two violas, two cellos, a clarinet, a flute and a harp “in this unique line-up”, like the company of the friends and supporters of the Jewish Museum. Works by Mozart, Ravel, Piazolla, Ibert and Brahms are planned, among others; In between, the musicians are asked about their experiences and commitment by Matthias Glander, principal clarinetist at the Berlin State Opera.
On Friday, September 2 at 1 p.m., the orchestra will also give a family concert in the museum hall. The aim is to introduce children of primary school age to classical music in a playful way. A family ticket (two adults and a maximum of two children) has been set up for 15 euros. Admission to the concert on September 1 costs 30 euros.
