Drivers in Prague will face almost 50 traffic restrictions in the fall. The reason is the repair of roads and intersections, but also sewers, gas pipelines or bridges. The work that is causing the traffic restrictions has largely already started. Among the significant restrictions are the repair of the Barrandovský bridge, repairs in the busy Kbelská street or the repair of Jan Želivského street in Prague 3. This follows from an overview of the restrictions made by the Technical Communications Administration (TSK), which is available to ČTK.
In Jan Želivský, one lane will be closed in each direction of the street until October 31, namely in the area in front of and behind Basilejský náměstí. Drivers will only have to drive in one lane in each direction due to road repairs.
Drivers are also subject to minor restrictions due to the replacement of public transport shelters. This applies, for example, to Plzeňská Street in Prague 5 in the section from Holečkova to Podbělohorská Street, from September 21 to October 4, Bohdalecká Street in the direction of Vršovice from September 5 to 18, and at the turn of September and October, also to Argentinská Street at Prague 7.
Passage through the intersection of Průmyslová street and Černokostelecka, which is being repaired by road workers, will also be partially restricted until September 9. The intersection of Výstavní and Exnárova streets in Jižní Město will be closed in the direction from Petrovice to Háje until the end of September due to renovation. Cars can only pass through one lane here. Repairs also continue in Hloubětín at the intersection of Kbelská, Průmyslová and Poděbradská.
On Kbelská, in the section between Novopacka and Kolbenová, the repair of the railway bridge continues and drivers have to slow down due to the narrowing of the lanes. Sewer repair complicates traffic in Jaromírova street in Nuslí or on Poděbradská in the section between U Elektry and Nademlejnská streets. In Chlumecka in Prague 14 and the Peace Movement in Prague 11, they are complicating the operation of underpass repairs.
Work on the reconstruction of the Barrandovský bridge is planned until the end of September, where traffic is limited from four to three lanes in each direction, and in connection with this, Strakonická before Lihovar is narrowed.
