Bucovina book fund
On the occasion of “Our Language” day, a national holiday celebrated in the Republic of Moldova, on August 31, the National Library of the Republic of Moldova established the Bucovina Book Fund – Dr. Mugur Andronic, (who is also an honorary citizen of the municipality of Suceava), based on donation of over 1,000 volumes.
The donation mostly includes books related to the history, archeology and culture of historical Bucovina, of Bessarabia, but also of Romanians in general, printed in the country or abroad, collected by the donor for over four decades. “Those who want to donate books to the prestigious national library in Bessarabia in the future can contact me. At my initiative, the secondary schools in Bosanci and Ipotești donated lots of books to the Briceni District Library and the communal libraries of Şaptebani (Râșcani district), Balasinești (Briceni district), Biliceni (Sângerei district), an example to follow and judge other chances. ”, said Dr. Mugur Andronic.
