AS Monaco falls into the trap of ESTAC
Three days after their fine performance against Paris Saint-Germain, the Monegasques lost to Louis II this Wednesday evening against ESTAC (2-4).

A red card, a disputed sentence. This time again, AS Monaco was not helped by arbitration. By determining a new meeting in numerical inferiority (see below), the teammates of Wissam Ben Yedder were not able to win against Troyes, conceding their second defeat of the season in the league.
While everything had started perfectly well with the opener of the score from Guillermo Maripan from a corner header (10′), the Monegasques conceded a questionable penalty a few minutes later on an intervention deemed illicit by this same Maripan on Mama Baldé in the penalty area (21′).
A face-to-face won by Florian Tardieu (22′) which allowed Troyes to score, before regaining the advantage through Wilson Odobert, scorer in added time in the first period (45 + 3′ ).

Reduced to ten after Maripan’s second yellow card (44′), the Monegasques conceded a third goal signed by Mama Baldé after returning from the locker room (48′), before returning to the game thanks to Youssouf Fofana (63′).
An achievement that will not change anything, since in numerical inferiority, the partners of Axel Disasi conceded a fourth goal, Yoann Salmier ensuring the victory of his team (78′).
A defeat which sees AS Monaco already relegated to eight points from the podium. Next meeting for ASM, this Sunday evening (8:45 p.m.) for a fiery derby on the lawn of OGC Nice.
The fact of the game: Guillermo Maripan sees red
The Chilean international went through all the emotions in this meeting. First scorer with a header from a corner by Takumi Minamino to open the scoring (10′), Guillermo Maripan was excluded from the game just before the break.
Warned of a first yellow card for a foul on Mama Baldé which caused the penalty converted by Troyes (21′), the Monegasque defender received a second yellow card for a foul on Florian Tardieu (44′).
As against Rennes and against Lens, Philippe Clément’s men have evolved outnumbered. Arbitration decisions with serious consequences, since AS Monaco have not yet won this season in the league at home.
