Want to solve a crisis when the first person dies? Prague without chaos started the campaign with a series of questions to the mayor. And pretty sharp

A woman is ruling the country to ruin and the mayor doesn’t have the balls to stand up for his citizens. He does nothing about the crisis while taking pictures on social media. This and many other harsh statements addressed to the leadership of Prague were made at the sharp start of the campaign of the Prague without Chaos political movement. Among other things, there is also a call for the immediate resignation of Mayor Zdenek Hřiba and the management of some city companies. It seems that the current energy crisis will be the main topic of the campaign, which, according to the leader of the movement, Jaroslav Ďuriš, should be “short but intense”.
“We all see that our government is doing nothing and is leading the country to ruin. With an academic smile, he will let our citizens, our businesses, our hospitals, our homes for the elderly fall to the bottom,” Jaroslav Ďuriš, leader of the Prague without Chaos movement and candidate for mayor of Prague, began his speech. Even before that, however, he managed to call on the current mayor, Zdenek Hřiby, to resign.
Clueless trampling
“The mayor and leadership of Prague, which is supposed to defend the interests of its citizens, also does nothing and just waits for the outcome of the elections. But that is still a month away and in times of crisis it is unacceptable. It is necessary to work and not to trample helplessly,” he leaned on the leadership of the capital city.
And then there was literally a whirlwind of questions, mainly following the current and, according to the new movement that will run in the upcoming municipal elections, also the “acute” energy crisis.
“What tasks did Pražská plynárenská get? How will he help his citizens,” also the former director of the Prague transport company and currently the head of the energy holding.
Prague by itself
According to him, Prague is now only playing for itself. “Why don’t you behave the same way as South Bohemian Governor Martin Kuba? Do you feel the same way he does that this is a system collapse? So why aren’t you doing anything about it? How is it possible that a city company is preparing a scam for the citizens of our city,“ he continued with a series of questions, interjecting himself into the management of Pražská plynárenská.

According to him, it was at least unthinkable that no one from the city’s gas company was punished, and that “the top manager of this energy company himself boasts that he had it explained to him how the price of electricity is formed.”
The gas plant makes people sick
According to the leader of Prague without chaos, Pražská plynárenská does not behave like a company providing services to citizens, but it is only a business and it is rubbing everyone’s skin. “Why don’t you use the surplus in the city budget to fight energy poverty instead of happy photos,” asked Ďuriš in his generally sharp speech.
According to him, the city management is not prepared for a situation when companies begin to fail, nor for securing energy for hospitals, schools or homes for the elderly. “Or do you want to solve it when the first person dies,” Hřiba asked with another question.
Energy crisis as a topic
After all, it was evident from the entire speech that the solution to the energy crisis, and especially its effects on ordinary Praguers, will be the main election slogan of Prague without chaos. Despite the fact that the party had previously sharply defined itself against the “inability of the current city management to solve traffic in Prague”. Although it was clear from Jaroslav Ďuriš’s opening speech at the press conference that it was mainly pre-election rhetoric based on criticism of the current leadership of Prague, he also made concrete constructive suggestions. Although again in the form of questions.
“Has anyone already started dealing with Energia Baden Wichtenberg? This company, which owns 51 percent of the shares of PRE, makes hard money from the citizens of our city. So why is it no longer involved in mitigating the effects of this crisis? What are you still waiting for? When our companies will be for sale for a crown,” warned Ďuriš, adding that in a situation where households in Prague switch on direct heaters across the board, the capital may even experience a blackout.
“Abnormal Price”
He called the price of 20 crowns per kilowatt hour “abnormal”, according to him, Prague companies cannot handle it. According to Ďuriš, however, the city instead finances unnecessary things and thus does not receive resources to support the poorest. “That is why we insist on immediate resignation,” he concluded his emotional speech.

In a similar spirit, there was also a direct call for the resignation of Mayor Zdenek Hřiba and the city’s energy companies, which was presented by the candidate of the Prague without Chaos movement for the municipality and Prague 6, Jan Antonín Duchoslav, who today became famous for his legendary role as Viki Cabadaj in the film Snow Maiden and the Snow Maiden. You can find the complete recording of the press conference, including the calls made by Jan Antonín Duchoslav, in the video below.
While Prague without Chaos is currently launching mainly visually, it is currently starting the next phase of the campaign. With its “sharp start”, the movement lived up to Ďuriš’s statement from an interview with PrahaIN.cz, where he stated when asked by the editors that the campaign would be “short but intense”.
