The Prague Clarinet Days start today for the eleventh time
They traditionally offer workshops, master classes with foreign lecturers and public concerts in attractive spaces. Irvin Venyš invited us to them in a live interview.
Prague Clarinet Days were established in 2012. It will start its 11th year today, 30th of Augustand will last until Sunday September 4th. Participants will be offered individual lessons, ensemble play, rehearsals, lectures and workshops. The public can look forward to three chamber concerts in attractive spaces.
On Thursday 1st September from 19 hours performed in the garden Werich’s Villas on Kampa file Clarimonia Ensemble program and guests Prometheus 4.0. He will offer the music of Ludwig van Beethoven in an arrangement Bernhard Kösling for 6 clarinets and introduced listeners to the period of antiquity and the Enlightenment. The story will be accompanied by a narrator Jiří Štréblcollaborated on the program as a director Jakub Korčák.
On Friday 2nd of September from 19 hours are displayed look into Chambers of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, where the second chamber concert will take place. It will again offer the music of Ludwig van Beethoven – Septet for strings and wind instrumentsbut also a wind sextet Youth Leoš Janáček. Foreign lecturers of master classes will also perform at the concert, Jean-Marc Fessard AND Stephan Vermeesch. The diverse nationalities and age composition of the performers, the variety of the European cultural scene, and the concert will thus simultaneously be a celebration of the Czech presidency in the Council of the European Union.
September 3 against 19 hours against Martin Hall then the residents of the master classes will perform together with their pedagogy at the traditional final concert Best of. The program of the concert is yet to emerge from the repertoire of the studied participant.
The clarinet days will also include an exhibition of instruments from the company Schwenk and Seggelke and one of the workshops, led Jochen Seggelek AND Bernhard Kösling, will focus on historical clarinets. The concert will also be streamed online at YouTube channel Prague clarinet days.
