I don’t know if you’re that stupid or if you’re from Prague, asks Pavel Zedníček. From Prague, admits the actor, who only met luck in his forties. VIP scandals and affairs

Description: A group of friends from universities, represented by the ensembles of Michal Isteník, Pavla Dostálová, Jiří Panzner, Patrik Děrgel and Denisa Nesvačilová (the last three in the picture), are coming to Pálava.
The handsome bearded Jiří Panzner is returning to the TV screen in a major serial role… Next week, the serial carousel will be in full swing. On Monday, Prima will start looking back on the summer, in which we will go to the wine region of South Moravia. Five former classmates come to Pálava to reminisce about old times.
One of them is Filip played by Jiří Panzner. Prima chose his confrontation with the striking local winemaker, who is represented by Pavel Zedníček, in the trailer for the series. “I don’t know if you’re that stupid or if you’re from Prague,” asks Moravák. “I’m from Prague,” answers Filip. “I feel sorry for you,” the winemaker leaves somewhere on his own. But Filip does not pay much attention to this minor insult. He has enough to worry about. “He is a positive character, a bit out of his depth, he sells in a bookstore and he will be here in Pálava with the son he fathered very soon,” says Jiří Panzner about the character.

He is an expert on the outside
The sympathetic bearded man is best remembered by the audience from the series Ulice. He was in it from 2010 to 2019 and his character of Eddie Rambousk won the hearts of the viewers. Eddie presented himself as an outsider who didn’t want to work, his life filled with drinking bottles and growing weed. But then several women entered his life one after another, and the disheveled outsider in camouflage gradually changed until he became a successful real estate agent with perfectly groomed hair and beard in a well-fitting suit. But no one changes completely from the ground up, and Eddie remained in the core that embarrassed boy who, above all, does not know much about relationships with women. He couldn’t stand any of them, they came up with so many scenarios of partnership failures that in the end there was nothing left to come up with. And so Eddie disappeared from the Street after ten seasons.

Jiří Panzner, of course, continued in the acting career, but he appeared little in films, in TV series they only had episodic roles. Until Petr Kolečko came with an offer to Pálava, where the now mature forty-year-old once again represents a thoughtful, intelligent man, but also too dreamy and shaky in relationships. If you fondly remember Eddie Rambousk, then Filip in Pálava will remind you of him in many ways, only he is older, more mature and fights with his father, among other roles.

An actor since childhood
Jiří Panzner, like his serial counterpart Filip, is a native of Prague. He was attracted to the theater at an early age, as an amateur he played in the Radar Theater. After graduating from high school, he passed the exams at DAMU the first time, where he graduated in 2006. After completing his acting studies, he worked at the FX Šaldy Theater in Liberec and the Klicper Theater in Hradec Králové. At that time, he also appeared in front of the camera for the first time in the third series of the series Zdivočelá zeme, where he played a member of the SNB. The ten-year stay in Ulica, where he had many filming days, made his life somewhat complicated, because it was not very possible to anchor in any permanent engagement at Ulica. And so he traveled from theater to theater, which on the other hand allowed him to accept a role in a very varied repertoire and on stages of various sizes. He was a guest at the Drama Studio in Ústí nad Labem, the Vinohrady Theater and the Na Zabradlí Theater. Subsequently, he was a guest at the National Theatre, the Municipal Theaters of Prague, the Theater under Palmovkou, A studio Rubín, the D21 theater and the Masopust association. At the moment, we can see him in the performance I Am I at the National Theatre, but also in Revizor at the Municipal Theaters of Prague or in several performances at Divadla Pod Palmovkou and A Studio Rubín. We’ll see if one of the main roles in Pálava finally earns him another significant appearance on television and in film.

The legend of Czechoslovak figure skating comes to life in a film
Filming of the film Nepela: The Road to Freedom will begin next year, about one of Czechoslovakia’s most successful athletes, figure skater Ondrej Nepel. Nepel’s life story is reminiscent of Hollywood blockbusters, he became an Olympic champion, world and European champion, he was the darling of the crowds, but the communist regime kept him in a golden cage and his life was headed for tragedy. The film captures a critical 24 hours during the World Championship in Bratislava in 1973. Although it was his sporting triumph, from the period footage it seems that Nepela himself was not too happy about it.

Nepela will be portrayed by the young Slovak actor Adam Kubala, and his trainer Hilda Múdra will be played by Jana Nagyová. Hilda Múdré’s son also participates in the film’s preparations. “When I was a little boy, while watching figure skating, my grandmother and mother told me about the best figure skater of all time, whom they loved platonically. Ondřej is a legend who rose to stardom from Czechoslovakia,” says the film’s producer and director Jakub Červenka, who directed the film Conversations with TGM.
Martin Salajka in Villa Pellé
From August 24, the Ville Pellé gallery offers the most extensive exhibition of one of the most expressive painters of the contemporary Czech art scene, Martin Salajka. The exhibition called Mimicry mostly presents his latest works, which impress with their colour, expressiveness and concern at the same time. “For me, the exhibition is one of the next important steps on my journey. Most of the exhibition consists of completely new works, but together with the curator Radek Wohlmuth we decided to include some older paintings that I followed up on from previous exhibitions,” adds Martin Salajka. The meaning of the word Mimicry is mainly associated with the world of flora and fauna and has the chance to blend in with the surroundings, adapt, deceive the enemy and increase survival. However, the author understands them in a broader sense, he finds himself in the elusiveness and confusing changeability of everyday life, personal experience and myth.

The author of one of the most famous crawlers of all time will visit Prague for the first time
One of the most famous romantic songs of all time, Right Here Waiting, will be heard live for the first time in the Czech Republic. The author of the megahit from the late eighties, the award-winning American musician Richard Marx, will remind the Czech audience of it as part of the world tour The Songwriter Tour on August 30, 2022 in the Hybernia Theater in Prague.
Richard Marx was discovered in the early eighties by another famous writer of many immortal hits, Lionel Richie. He was convinced of the indisputable authorial and interpretive talent of the seventeen-year-old young man. Since then, Richard began to devote himself fully to his favorite discipline, writing songs for himself and other famous colleagues. He wrote or produced hits for, for example, the boy band N’Sync, Luther Vandross or Keith Urban. He has collaborated with many other great musicians, including touring with Beatles drummer Ringo Starr in 2006.

Richard has sold more than 30 million records worldwide, a Grammy Award for Best Song of the Year, several Grammy nominations, a quadruple platinum record for the hits Satisfied and Right Here Waiting, and many other music industry awards. For over 30 years, his hits regularly appear at the top of the global charts. He holds the record of being the only male artist in the world to have 7 consecutive Top 5 songs on the most prestigious US singles chart, Billboard. “For the past few years, I’ve been mainly focused on touring around the world. But I started out as a composer, and that’s what I feel like the most. So I wanted to remind myself how important saving is to me. I never completely stopped writing songs, I have a lot of small fragments of melodies, lyrics and voice notes on my phone,” says Richard about his current work.
