Holiday timetables are ending. Prague will strengthen metro connections, changes await Dolnobrzežansko
The holiday timetables in Prague and Central Bohemia are ending. There will be major changes to bus routes in Kladno and in the Dolní Břežany and Říčany regions from September 1. There will be more connections on the backbone routes, and the connection of cities around Prague will be improved. Metro intervals are getting shorter in the metropolis.
In Prague transport, the intervals of metro, tram and bus lines will be shortened again, school lines and school connections on suburban lines will start running again. Some towns in the vicinity of Prague will have improved connections between each other and to Prague. For example, there will be a new direct connection between Říčany and Úvaly and Český Brod with the new line 686 and the extended line 435, which will increase the transport accessibility of Říčany.
“In Dolnobřežansk, traffic is concentrated on the backbone line 333 to the metro station Kačerov, and the existing line 331 is rerouted via Vestec to the Opatov metro, thus ensuring a new direct connection of Dolnobřežansk with the areas of the Southern Town and better serving the municipalities around Dolní Břežan and the growing scientific – technical campuses in the Vestec and Zlatníký-Hodkovice area,” announced Ropid spokesman Filip Drápal. School buses will better connect the Dolní Břežany and Jesenice area from September.
The transport organizer will inform about the change through leaflets, information boards and the like. “On Wednesday, August 31 and Thursday, September 1, our informants will be present at the squares in Říčany and Dolní Břežany, who will help passengers, hand out information leaflets and timetables from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.,” added the spokesperson of Ropid.
In connection with the dispute between Kladno and the Central Bohemian Region on the method of paying for public transport, the connection of some lines in Kladno will be changed and the operation of Prague integrated transport lines to some peripheral parts of Kladno will be partially limited.
