Prague Airport: Due to the EU Presidency, the parking lot in front of Terminal 2 will be closed
“During this period, there may be express parking in front of the departure hall of Terminal 2 during the day. If this happens, Prague Airport passengers will direct to use the PB Economy parking lot in front of the arrivals hall of Terminal 2 and to the express parking lot in front of Terminal 1,” Divíšková said about this week’s period.
The airport restricted the parking lot in front of the terminal already in July. The week from July 10 to 15 was particularly exposed because of the Czech presidency, when the airport handled around 266,000 passengers. The express car park in front of the second terminal was first completely closed to the public during the day, then partially restricted, when half of the car park was opened.
More frequent connections
The Czech Republic assumed the presidency at the beginning of July. This also put a strain on the air capacity between Prague and Brussels, as only one connection per day from Brussels Airlines regularly flies on the route. This was also reflected in this summer, which now costs several thousand crowns in one direction. However, since September, the carrier provides lines for up to three connections a day. The line from Ryanair to Charleroi, which is about 70 kilometers from Brussels, is now also busy.
