However, in recent weeks, information has appeared about him that indicates that he is in fact not a blood descendant of the famous male Alphonse Mucha. Instead of the building, which is supposed to celebrate the Czech presidency of the Council of the EU, during the tour, visitors have to watch the promotion of the private developer project Savarin of the Crestyl company. The reason is particularly, John Omond Mucha gave Prague a condition that the Slavic epic must first take place in Savarin. However, the project is still under construction and does not even have the necessary permit to start construction. His car then tries to convince the girls that the first underground is a suitable place for this unique cycle depicting the history of the Slavs. The company Crestyl, which is behind Savarin, is not even a partner in the construction.
Two of these presentations are particularly John Omond Mucha insists on the location of Slovansk Epopeje first in Savarin. Council of the head the city even approved her placement in Savarin. However, the project has been in the works for a long time and has not yet received all the necessary permits to start construction. The placement of the Epic underground, where the original garrets should have been, is criticized by the professional public, including the granddaughter of Alfons Mucha, the architect Jarmila Plockov. The same is the position of the recognized art historian and Japanese scholar Vlasta ihkov Noshiro, according to which Savarin is not a worthy place for the Slavic epic and the underground spaces are unsuitable for the location from a security point of view.
In addition, Prague has to pay the private developer Crestyl €20 per square meter per month, excluding VAT, for the premises of Slovansk Epopeje in the underground. With an area of construction of 1450 m2, other minor operating costs of around 358 crowns per square meter and VAT, this amounts to around half a billion crowns.
