Georgia: “It’s not easy to face Greece”
The Belgium coach spoke about how difficult it is to deal with the Greek team, while making special reference to the Greek surprises.
After the end of the match in the warehouse OAKA where the Greek national team had no problem to prevail over BelgiumThe Dario Georgia originally stated:
“Congratulations to Greece, they deserved the win. The difference was in the first quarter, where we didn’t come in too strong and didn’t apply what we had in training. We made a lot of mistakes and it’s difficult to face such a good team like Greece like that. They scored 29 points from our mistakes and another 29 from surprises. This hurt us a lot. It is not easy to face the Greek, who constantly changes defenses. However, I am proud of the 22-23 minutes we played, it was a very good test for us ahead of Eurobasket”.
And he went on to talk about his hard foul and unsportsmanlike foul Tuba to Agravani: “I want to apologize for Touba’s foul, because we are not that kind of team. I apologize on his behalf as well. In Eurobasket we will try to play every game at the highest possible level, we want to be competitive. It may happen that we ‘pick’ games, look for goals because we have strong teams in the group. We will fight in every game. We want to prove that Belgian basketball is not so bad. We don’t have NBA players, we have a few Euroleague players, but I think we have a good level.”
