There Wiener Staatsoper announces a change to the inauguration of his new opera season. Cause indisposition, Roberto Alagna And Sonya Yoncheva canceled their performances in the planned staging de Juve directed by Günter Krämer. These cancellations a few days after opening force the theater to reschedule: instead of Halévy’s opera, they will be staged La Boheme by Puccini and a representation by Carmen by Bizet with a cast that includes the participation of great names from the current opera scene.
In Bohèmethe role of Mimì will be supported by Anna Netrebko (5, 11 and 18 September) and from Eleonora Buratto (September 8). Vittorio Grigolo instead it will be Rodolfo. Günther Groissbockwho had been called for the part of Cardinal Brogni in Juve, will sing like Colline. In the role of Marcello is expected George Peteanin that of Musetta Nina Minasyan. On the podium, there will be Bertrand de Billythat you have to direct Juve.
The Director of the Vienna Opera Bogdan Rošcic he has declared: “Juve it is a very important production in the repertoire of the Staatsoper, but it is also a particularly demanding and rarely performed work. It was therefore not possible to carry out such a large reshuffle immediately before the start of the tests. All the more we are grateful to the artists who are now performing for their flexibility and willingness to make this change possible despite the difficulties of programming ».
On September 14, in place of the Juvea further performance of Carmen: Elina Garanča will sing in the role of the protagonist, Piotr Beczala in that of Don José, Erwin Schrott will play Escamillo and Slávka Zamecníková Micaela; directs Yves Abele.
Tickets already purchased for the shows on September 5th, 8th, 11th, 14th and 18th remain valid, however they can be returned due to program changes.
