2.30 pm – The ceremony begins
14.25 – It is played on Thursdays – The group stage will be played on Thursdays, from 8 September to 3 November, on the same evenings as the UEFA Europa League, with kick-offs at 6.45pm and 9pm.
The group winners go straight to the round of 16.
The runners-up of the groups go to the play-offs for the knockout stage where they will be paired with the eight third of the UEFA Europa League groups.
14.20 – How the draw works – Below are the criteria governing the draw for the Conference League group stage.
• For the group stage draw, the 32 clubs are split into four pots of eight based on their coefficient rankings established at the start of the season.
Pot 1 includes the top eight clubs in the club rankings, Pot 2 includes the next eight clubs in the rankings, and so on for groups 3 and 4.
• To ensure that paired teams from the same country have different kick-off times according to the pairing principles, the eight groups will be distinguished by color: Groups A to D red and Groups E to H blue.
• When a paired club is drawn into, for example, one of the red groups (A, B, C or D), the other paired club – once drawn – will automatically be assigned to one of the blue groups (E, F, G Oh).
