New keeper in place minutes after Per Kristian Bråtveit left for Denmark
Keeper Sondre Rossbach, who Odd thought would go to Randers on a permanent transfer, instead chose to go to Vålerenga and his old coach Dag-Eilev Fagermo. The Oslo club has got things going after the summer holidays and has climbed up to 5th place in the Eliteserien.
It was only months ago that Per Kristian Bråtveit came to Vålerenga from the Swedish farm, but there have been exactly zero games for the first team as Magnus Sjøeng is preferred between the posts. – It is a situation that is not sustainable for someone who wants to play a football match.
It was not “planned” that the youngster Magnus Sjøeng should be so impressive between the stones and thus become the obvious first keeper for Vålerenga.

Goalkeeper change!
– PK is a keeper with ambitions for the national team and professional play, and such situations have remained in Vålerenga with bench life, it was not sustainable for him. We understand that, of course, and when AGF came on the field, as well as the fact that we could bring in a new good keeper immediately, the change quickly became a reality, says sporting director Joacim Jonsson to VIF’s website.
Vålerenga’s new keeper, Rossbach, has solid experience from the Eliteserien after several years as first keeper in Odd. However, this season has been difficult for the 26-year-old, who lost his place to Lepold Wahlstedt.

– I have been in Odd and the Eliteserien during the season and think I can bring with me very little experience. I add to that I want to create competition in the group. Vålerenga is well under way now, and I want to contribute to it being a really good harvest season, he concludes.
