Associations: Aibi, the summer seminar dedicated to hospitality starts today in San Marino
After two years of hiatus, the traditional summer seminar of Aibi-Amici dei Bambini is back, now in its 29th edition. The event, entitled: “A welcoming community: the Aibi paradigm”. is inaugurated today, Thursday 25 August and will end on Sunday 28.
In San Marino, the regional coordinators, the members of the National Council, the families of the La Pietra Scartata movement, the managers of Aibi and various other collaborators of the Association meet. “The annual meeting is presented as the most significant moment in the life of the Association itself, the one during which the strategies of the hosting activity are elaborated and space is dedicated to reflection on what are the cardinal principles of the very existence of Aibi. It is therefore a fundamental and essential moment to share, with all the actors involved in various capacities in the Association, the methods, practices and more, to better face the difficult moments they are experiencing and the challenges that the future will face. places us in front of us.
That “door” of hospitality that you never stop knocking on.
“This return of ours to meet again – explains Marco Griffini, president and founder of Aibi – is a propitious opportunity to reconsider the identity and meaning of one’s own history (who, how and why was welcomed; who, how and why ), with a view to relaunching possible new 360-degree hospitality perspectives. During the days of the seminar we will have the opportunity to reflect on ‘who and why’ has not yet been accepted, starting from the consideration of how history continues to persist in conditions of abandonment and fragility; on ‘who and why’ has not yet welcomed, reflecting on what appears to be ‘the winter of family hospitality’; on ‘who and why’ today asks to be welcomed, telling what are the new faces and the new frontiers of a welcome that are, as perhaps never in the past, generous and creative in responding to the different vocations that arise and knock over time to ‘our history’ “.
After 40 years of life, of projects, of battles, of faces and stories crossed in every part of the world, Aibi returns again and again to that famous “door”, which they never stopped knocking.
On the site of Aibi and La Pietra Scartata. in these 4 days of national seminar various articles will be published that will take up the topics discussed and will raise important points for reflection for all on the themes of reception, foster care and adoption.
