Valentina Gîlca From Volovița Village, District Soroca, year after year FILL THE PANTRY WITH ALL TYPES OF PICKLES AND COMPOTES. The Woman Says SHE WAS USED TO DO IT FOR THE WINTER EVER SINCE YOU WERE A CHILD.
“Here I Put Some Tomatoes, It’s Called Cold Marinade. HERE I PUT GREEN DILL, BELOW I PUT HORSE AND DRIED DILL, HERE I PUT leaf of currants. I PICK ALL THE VEGETABLES AND FRUITS FROM THE GARDEN AND PUT THEM”, says Valentina GilcĂ.
Now her work can be admired. HE HAS ALREADY FILLED THE PANTRIES WITH SAUSCUS, BROTH AND PICKLES OF ALL KINDS.
“I made a salad only from tomatoes. Here I made adjika. Here I made black currants as a kind of magiun, for baked goods, here I made black currants, good for you and children, also from my small garden. Here is Leuștean with homemade borscht, for the winter, but here I put the vine leaf, because I don’t know if I will have money for cabbage to die, I better prepare”, says Valentina Gîlcă.
Some housewives from the country prepare 200 – 300 canning jars EVERY year for the winter. In the markets, a kilogram of donuts costs 30 lei, one of tomatoes costs 10 lei, and for a kilogram of peppers, those who take care of canning for the winter will have to take 15 lei out of their pockets.
