Pardubice already knows how important it is to have H2: Hlavatý and Hranáč
The author of the play How important it is to have Filip would wonder. Oscar Wilde had no idea that there would be someone more important… But if he was sitting in the stands of Prague’s Eden and I saw the desperate game of Pardubice ahead, he would have written the novel How important it is to have Michal in ten minutes. The management of FK Pardubice knows best why Michal Hlavaty was vehemently succeeded. The offensive stands and falls with him. It’s a wonder that there is no one else to keep the ball on the cleats. The sick gambler had to suffer just like the Pardubice fans watching TV…
1. Open football
FK Pardubice has been paying for a very likeable team since coming to the top league. His demonstrated game is praised by coaches, experts and fans. On the other hand, open football cannot be practiced against every opponent. This was shown in full nudity in Prague’s Eden, or rather at the Sinobo stadium. In addition, behind the word open on Sunday evening was hiding the word naive and, above all, scared. Attacking at all costs and not holding the ball for even ten seconds is highly counterproductive. And very challenging for colleagues in defense.
“For me, a little incomprehensible, we tried to play open football for the entire ninety minutes. Slavia and I still wanted to play up and down, which was grist to her mill. We didn’t pull and we caught,” captain Pavel Černý shrugged.
2. Unnecessary losses
In basketball terms, Pardubice committed a huge number of losses. And when a tennis racket is added, so casual. At times it seemed that the visiting team’s players could not process the ball and pass accurately. Because of this, they could not rest even for a moment. They found themselves under permanent pressure for practically the entire match. In full nakedness, it was shown how irreplaceable Michal Hlavatý is, who could not start due to illness.
“We gave the worst performance we’ve ever had in the league. We were not a worthy opponent for Slavia. All her players are of high quality, but we made it quite easy for her. When the opponent had a chance, we lost the ball and conceded a goal. This happened three times. We didn’t manage basic things like the first touch of the ball,” coach Jaroslav Novotný lamented.
What does the expert say about exclusion?
The situation regarding the second yellow Hranáč was also addressed in the television program Dohráno. Football expert Erich Brabec will give his opinion. And the referee Radin will definitely not be pleased. “Don’t think. Hranáč went into a hand-to-hand fight with Ševčík. No yellow card and certainly not a second yellow card to go Pardubice to ten. It was a simple fault. The referee should have blown his whistle and let both teams continue in full numbers. I don’t know if the referee didn’t realize at that moment how he was going to enter the match. In my opinion, it affects the further course of the match.”
3. Embarrassing exclusion
Slavia really doesn’t need this. Pardubice was winning from the opening whistle, even though they played in full numbers. Referee Radina spoke loudly about the development of the match. At the end of the first half, he sent Hranáč to the cabin a minute earlier than the other stoppers. Not only did he spoil his renewed debut in the Pardubice jersey, but above all he made an already clear match even clearer. The visitors were absolutely unable to capture the attacking actions in ten and after the change of sides conceded five more times.
“It wasn’t a yellow card mistake. Robin Hranáč was our key man. In the first half, they kept Slavia’s attackers at bay. After his exclusion, our defense fell apart,” admitted Novotný. His colleague on the bench even received a yellow warning from Radina for protesting.
“We were hit hard by the suspension and then the third goal. I did not understand the second yellow card for Hranáč. It was an ordinary foul, so why the yellow card,” asks Jiří Krejčí.
With a touch of irony, it can be said that his charges significantly boosted Slavia’s self-confidence before the rematch in the Conference League. But Raków is not Pardubice…
