The police received 12 new cameras from Prague, they will shine a light on illegal activities

The Municipal District of Prague 12 donated a non-financial gift in the form of camera equipment to the Regional Directorate of the Police of the Capital City of Prague. It will serve especially in the documentation of illegal actions.
Mayor of the twelfth district Jan Adamec (Pirates) handed over the cameras on Thursday, August 18. According to information from Press Releases it is a donation that the city district gave to the police based on the decision of the council from the June meeting.
On behalf of the police, the director of the Prague IV Police District Directorate, Renáta Havlíková, and the head of the Modřany local department, Jan Špaček, accepted the gift.
“I believe that thanks to the donation, the police officers will be able to perform their work effectively and the provided equipment will contribute to ensuring their safety and the safety of our citizens,” said Jan Adamec.
Cameras will also help when dealing with citizens
In total, the police received 5 PPC 04 cameras and software for automatic download of records for the needs of police officers of the Modřany and Lhotek local departments, as well as one GoPro HERO 10 Black action camera for use by police officers of the Traffic Inspectorate of the Prague IV District Directorate.
The camera equipment is primarily intended for the documentation of illegal acts. It can also be used when dealing with citizens.
“I thank you for the equipment provided and I appreciate the cooperation with the Prague 12 district. The cameras will be used directly by the policemen of the local police departments of Modřany and Lhotka to ensure the performance of services in the territory of the Prague 12 municipality,” thanked Renáta Havlíková.
