A unique playground intended for older children and young adults was created in Povodňová Park in Prague 12. It is dominated by a climbing structure made of acacia wood.
The last adjustments were according to Press Releases carried out on the basis of citizens’ comments on the proposal from March this year. Some game elements have been moved more into the shade of trees, where children can play more comfortably.
The structures, including the large dominant climbing structure, are made of processed acacia wood. Children and young adults can use from Thursday 18 August.
It deviates from the range of playgrounds for preschoolers
“This playground is unique in Dvanácta in that it is also intended for older children and young adults. The team deviates from a number of playgrounds that are primarily built for preschool children,” says the mayor of the Prague 12 district, Jan Adamec (Pirates).
In addition to the climbing structure, there are also balance blocks, a rotating beam, a hanging carousel and two trampolines ready for games. Younger children can enjoy the swing.
The construction of the playground was financed by the capital with a subsidy of about 2.5 million crowns excluding VAT. Game elements were supplied by the company Hřiště rej her.
I am also preparing to modify the wooden sidewalk
The municipality is also preparing modifications to the natural wooden sidewalk that runs near some children’s play elements. It was already built in the past on the original concrete path. The town hall has already obtained a building permit for the necessary repairs.
At the same time, it is not the only newly opened children’s playground on the 12th. One also opened this week in Zárubova Street. Even its creation was preceded by a meeting with citizens and a discussion on a possible future model. Now children can use slides, climbing nets, swings, bouncy balls and also a multifunctional playground.
