Hiking – Les Cystelles – I love Dijon
Fifth hike of the summer, in partnership with Dijon Métropole and the Côte d’Or departmental hiking committee: Les Cystelles.
5th hike for the summer: towards the town of Bretenière, a charming little town 20 minutes by car south-east of Dijon, just after the town of Ouges (see our previous hike “Le Circuit des Trois Lavoirs”, follow our link)
Like all the hikes we offer, it very easy to access and accessible to the whole family. It is 7.5 kilometers long but can be covered in barely 2.5 hours!
Why did we like this hike?
💜 The municipality of Bretenière is just as charming! You will be able to walk along the Burgundy Canal and pass in front of the Saint-Phal church, in a Romanesque style dating from the 11th century.
Stages of the Cystelles hike
Fr that of doubt, pRemember to follow the yellow markings!
1 – From the crossing of the main street and the D 31c (rue de la Distillerie), take the main street towards the south-east for about 150 m. Take rue de la Garenne on the left. Turn right on this same path along a housing estate then the park of the castle.
2 – Turn right into rue de l’Eglise (the famous Saint-Phal church from the 11th century).
3 – Arrive on the D 31c, turn right, continue to the crossroads then follow rue du Canal to the left as far as lock 65. Take the towpath to the right (be careful with children!).
4 – Continue to lock 62 Petit-Ouges. Turn right.
5 – Arrival at the end of the runway at Dijon-Longvic air base 102 (> do not cross the end of the runway when the light is red, wait). Turn right, cross the A31 motorway bridge and arrive at the starting point.
