Hanover: the city decides to cancel a tourist attraction
The Maschsee in the city center of Hanover has dried up quite a bit. The reason: the drought, which has not wanted to end for weeks. Now the city had to react to the low water level. The “Hannoversche Verkehrsbetriebe Aktiengesellschaft ÜSTRA” explained on social media that the boats of the Maschsee fleet will no longer be on the road with immediate effect.
The round trips and charter trips are a popular tourist attraction in Hanover. The reactions of the Hanoverians and fans of the state capital were therefore predictable.
Hanover: Decision meets sadness and understanding
“It’s a shame, I would have liked to have taken another lap across the lake with my daughter,” wrote a woman under the “ÜSTRA” post. Other fans also find the failure “a great pity”.
