Fürstenfelder Schnellstraße – West section: Major project in Austria picks up speed
The ARGE “S7 Baulot 04 Swietelsky Granit” was awarded the contract for the westernmost tunnel of the new expressway section – the underfloor route in Speltenbach. The tunnel will be an open-cut construction with two lanes in each direction.
The tunnel floors, made with Rümoo battery patches, are erected in gaps, so that the tunnel cross-section can then be cast monolithically in one piece with two system formwork from Peri. The 60 cm thick walls of the underground route were equipped with formwork vibrators on one side.
These 152 Rümoo RM 60 formwork vibrators, which are mounted on a special SSH bracket with GT-24 adapters, have been running maintenance-free for more than a year, according to those responsible. To date, it has also not been possible to monitor loosening of the brackets. A supervisor from Rümoo was on site to train the concreting staff.
The concrete types BS1A (ceiling, upper layer) and BS1C with PP fibers (ceiling, lower layer and walls) used are installed wet in wet in two layers. In normal operation, two blocks are concreted in gaps per week.
The ARGE “S7 Baulos 04 Swietelsky Granit” is just as satisfied with the Rümoo type RM60 vibrators as with the concrete quality achieved.
