It’s still summer and ideas for outings for this third weekend in August aren’t always easy to find. The editorial staff has concocted a list of five activities to do in Toulouse for the next two days. Curious, cinephiles, gourmands… There is something for everyone.
After weeks of intense heat on Toulouse, the temperatures have warmed in recent days. This sweetness remains for a few more days in the Pink City. No rain on the horizon according to Météo-France! Cloudy spells and sunshine are on the program this weekend with temperatures that will not go beyond 30°C. On Saturday, the maximum temperature reaches 28°C and 27°C on Sunday.
1# Open-air cinema
The film library of Toulouse continue open-air cinema sessions. Four films are showing at the establishment located at 69 rue du Taur. Great cinematographic classics are thus offered throughout the summer. For this weekend, opt for the outdoor or indoor option according to your desires.
On Saturday August 20, it’s the movie Cold sweats (Vertigo) which is offered at 9:30 p.m. outdoors. But it is also possible to see The fifth Element in the room at 6:30 p.m. For those who are not very convinced by open-air cinema or who cannot come in the evening, a Cold sweats (Vertigo) is shown in theaters on Sunday August 21 at 6:30 p.m. Another outdoor event is scheduled for Sunday evening at 9:30 p.m. with the screening of the film Sacred Engines at the cinematheque Toulouse.

2# A visit with Pays d’Oc
Throughout the summer, the guiding agency Pays d’Oc offered many activities on the weekends. On Toulouse, the different visits each have their own theme. This Saturday, August 20, two visits are offered in a “back to the 50s” atmosphere. Already proposed in June, the visit proposes to discover affairs, miscellaneous facts and unusual crimes in Toulouse accompanied by two guides, Anna and Lisa.

4# Discover the Reynerie castle and park
A bit of history and heritage in the ideas for outings with the possible visit of the park and the Chateau de la Reynerie. This Saturday, August 20, the castle located in the heart of Mirail allows the most curious to visit its park and the interior of its walls from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The visit lasts one hour and introduces Toulouse residents and tourists to the secrets of this “18th century architectural madness”, as the town hall of Toulouse.
Architecture, decorations, history, botanical garden… Discover the riches of this historic building built between 1781 and 1783. It had also been named “Madness” by its owner, Guillaume Dubarry. To discover them, it’s 8 euros for adults, and 5 euros for the reduced rate, i.e. the inhabitants of Toulouse Metropolitan France on presentation of proof.
