une caravane de l’Union populaire fait escale aux Aubiers
Camille Noury, 25, permanent volunteer of the People’s Union caravan, explains: “We stop in neighborhoods where even if, very often, it is our deputies who have won, the first winner remains the abstention. It is therefore a question of strengthening their presence on the ground, meeting all types of audiences: activists from the region and elsewhere, the curious, the contradictory.
Outside election period
That day, about twenty volunteers rang at the doors of the buildings to inform and campaign. They are then confronted with the problems associated with the inhabitants of the district: fears linked to the loss of purchasing power, difficulties in living in periods of high heat in poorly insulated housing, an entire floor of a building which would not have access in the water for a few days… The information is then transmitted to the national level.
Another part of the activists includes a stand near the Les Aubiers tram station, just below the buildings. Among others, they received the visit of MP Nadège Abomangoli, member of La France insoumise and MP for Seine-Saint-Denis (10e riding), vacationing in the area. “It is important to show our presence on the ground, even on August 15 and even outside electoral periods, to explain what we are fighting for in the Assembly”, underlines the elected official.
