Military industrial cooperation: Hungary produced armored vehicles and combat drones
László Palkovics added: Hungary has decided to manufacture various military equipment in Hungary with the involvement of foreign technology partners. Amongst these
one of the most significant projects is the production of four-wheel drive armored fighting vehicles, which will begin in October.
On Monday, they discussed the technological conditions for this, he said.
They also discussed how the cooperation in the military industry can further develop and expand the equipment in which Turkey is at the forefront of production. This includes drones, autonomous aircraft, or their weapons and armor. According to the plans, a Hungarian joint venture will start their production in Kaposvár.
According to him, energy is another important topic of the negotiations in Ankara. Turkey’s energy background industry is strong, the minister cited solar panels or other components related to the electrical network as an example.
I would like to convince the Turkish companies to produce such parts and solar cells in Hungary, said the minister.
László Palkovics also announced that the current negotiations will also prepare the December Turkish-Hungarian economic joint committee meeting, which will be held in Budapest, with the participation of Turkish businessmen.
