Mitchell: “His profile as a complete holding midfielder will be an added advantage”
Present at the Louis-II stadium this Saturday to watch the draw between ASM and Rennes (1-1), Camara is a young player who has already played 13 Champions League games. An asset for its sporting director Paul Mitchell. “At only 22 years old, Mohamed already has a significant track record for his age, he underlines in the club press release. In addition to the titles won with Red Bull Salzburg (6, editor’s note), he also experienced several victorious epics with the youth teams of Mali. Mohamed has continued to progress in recent seasons, achieving high-level performances in the league but also internationally, in the Champions League and with Mali. He has this state of mind turned towards the collective and wins it. His profile as a complete recovery midfielder will be an additional asset in our collective organization”.
Takumi Minamino, Breel Embolo, Thomas Didillon and Malang Sarr had already joined Monaco since the start of the transfer window. This did not allow the Principality club to qualify for the group stages of the Champions League, failing in the third preliminary round against PSV (1-1, 2-3 ap).
Camara: “Fully focused on this new stage of my career”
“I am very happy to join a big club like AS Monaco, declares Camara for his part. After my training in Mali, I had the opportunity to live very good seasons with Red Bull Salzburg, where I have hardened myself and where I was able to live a wonderful first experience in Europe. From now on, I am focused in this new stage of my career and I look forward, with all of my new teammates, to taking up the many challenges that will punctuate our season”.
