Notorious drug lord arrested in Brussels and extradited to Morocco | Inland
Rachid Ouahid Temsamani, a notorious Moroccan drug lord, is arrested in Brussels. Temsamani is known in Spain and Morocco as the leader of the Tetouan cartel. He was at the head of a cocaine and hashish network spreading across half of Europe. It was delivered by our country to Morocco about ten days ago.
The Moroccan newspaper ‘Barlamane’ writes about the extradition of the drug king and a spokeswoman for justice to HLN that the extradition was delivered on August 4. Temsamani was wanted by both Spanish and Moroccan police forces for drug smuggling.
Temsamani is already involved in various ways at the highest level of the international drug scene. Before he was exposed as a drug lord, he was a valued and president of football club Tetouan in Morocco. He has close ties in sports and politics. He also built an international drug network from the Rif Mountains in Morocco.
Costa del Sol
In 1996, the drug lord escaped on the Moroccan security services, but four years later he escaped on the Costa del Sol in Spain. The police then found him responsible for shipping large shipments of cocaine, hashish and ecstasy.
Temsamani headed a cartel from Nador (Morocco), which shipped drugs via Malaga (Spain) to Rome, Amsterdam, London and Ibiza. He was then jailed for ten years in Spain.
After he was released, he started his business thoughtfully, because in 2016 he was again linked to large shipments of drugs in Morocco.
It is not clear whether the man had been hiding in Brussels for a long time. In our country, however, he was in jail for months before he was extradited. His arrest dates back to November last year. “On the basis of his fingerprints, it was found that the gentleman had been signaled by Spain and Morocco,” the Brussels prosecutor’s office reports.
