two new arrests in Toulouse
The police continue their hunt for urban rodeos in Toulouse. This Thursday, August 11, three targeted operations have again been planned in the constituency. A total of eight vehicles were checked, both two-wheelers and cars. According to a police source contacted by The Independent Opinionthese interventions led to two arrests.
No driver’s license or insurance
The first took place in the Empalot district around 2 p.m. A vehicle traveling at high speed is then checked by the police. The driver, a 34-year-old man already known to the police, has neither a driver’s license nor insurance. While he was taken into custody, his vehicle was impounded. During his hearing, the individual admitted the facts. He was released for a summons on May 15, 2023 for a comparison on prior recognition of debt (CRPC).
A second arrest took place around 4 p.m., still in the Empalot sector, this time on a two-wheeler. Not wearing a helmet, the driver turned around at the sight of the police. Being guilty of a refusal to comply, his report is transmitted to the police of the city. The individual was arrested a few minutes later. This 18-year-old young man had good reason to flee from the police since he was actually driving a stolen vehicle. While in police custody, he admitted the facts. He is due in court on August 29.
