Does Big Boss and President Rolf Königs (80) bring an ex-captain to the presidency of Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach?
Specifically: Behind the scenes in Borussia Park there are said to be plans to meet the former defense chief and crowd favorite Martin Stranzl (42) for a management position at the highest decision-making level.
Gladbach: Martin Stranzl alleged candidate for the Borussia Presidium
This was reported on Wednesday (August 10, 2022) by the usually well-informed Viennese sports journalist Peter Linden (“peterlinden.live“).
According to the information, Stranzl is said to have already flown to Germany for the first talks.
It is said that the former Austrian national player could join Rolf Königs, Vice Presidents Rainer Bonhof and Stefan Stegemann and Executive Committee member Hans Meyer as the fifth man to join the Borussia committee.
However, this has not yet been confirmed.
The club statutes of Borussia Mönchengladbach should make a fifth person on the VfL executive committee possible.

Martin Stranzl was active for Borussia Mönchengladbach between 2011 and 2016. Former manager Max Eberl (48) brought the experienced defender from Moscow to the Lower Rhine.
Overall, Stranzl completed 144 competitive games (ten goals, one assist) for Borussia Mönchengladbach. He is one of the most important leaders on the field and in the foal cabin.
After the end of his career, he initially succeeded as an assistant coach for Borussia’s U19s before Stranzl then moved to his Austrian home of Güssing (Burgenland) with his family.
Stranzl, who has completed his UEFA A license as a football coach, is said to have had an offer for a coaching job at the moment.
In addition, there is speculation in Austria about a return from Stranzl to the pay channel “Sky” as a TV expert.
