By bike from Brescia to spread the message of Peace in the territories of Rimini and San Marino
They left by bike from Brescia last Saturday and yesterday morning they were received by Francesca Mattei, Councilor for Agriculture with responsibility for Peace of the Municipality of Rimini.
It is a group of cyclists belonging to the Kaki Tree Project of Brescia agreed with the aim of celebrate the tragic anniversary of the dropping of the atomic bomb on Nagasaki, which took place on 9 August 1945.
Also present for the occasion director of the San Marino Montefeltro Green Festival, Gabriele Geminianswho also holds the role of coordinator of the Kaki Tree project on the Titan, and the president of the Kaki Tree Brescia Project, Francesco Foletti.
The delegation then moved in Podere Lesignano, in the Republic of San Marinowhere on February 27 the persimmon seedling descendant of the one that survived the atomic bomb in Nagasaki was planted.
Here the commemoration ceremony was officiated, shared in a colorful way also with the children of the summer educational center.
Starting this spring, work is underway to bring the Kaki Tree Project to Rimini, a project that envisages a cultural approach to schools that will culminate with the planting of the small seedling of chi, the spring.
“The sense of the Kaki Tree Project is to create a network of places and people that make a tree the symbol of resistance and, above all, of rebirth – says Foletti -. With the Green Festival and Gabriele Geminiani we have other initiatives planned, partners are fundamental in these paths ”.
