Belgian Championship Kubb comes to Anderlecht | Brussels
AnderlechtOn Saturday 20 and 21 August, the Belgian Championship Kubb takes over the Sint-Niklaas Institute in Anderlecht. About three hundred participants will compete against each other in the battle for the title.
The BC Kubb is organized by the Belgian Kubb Federation. The sport, in which men briefly knock down the opposing team’s wooden beams with sticks, have become increasingly popular in recent years. The BK is in its 15th edition, and this year will settle in the Anderlecht Sint-Niklaas Institute.
“After the cloudburst and the watery end of the 2021 edition, this year the 15th edition of the Belgian Championship Kubb will follow,” as it says in a message on the website. “Once again you will have the opportunity to measure yourself against the best kubb teams in the country during this absolute use for ‘Kubbend’ Belgium.”
The team tournament is played on Saturday, the solo tournament on Sunday. The latter also counts as qualification for the European Championship Kubb next year. In total, about 300 participants are expected. In addition to the adventures, fringe entertainment and catering are also provided. Registration is not possible via the website from the organization.
