Toulouse: chase at 150 km/h on the ring road
A driver without a license did not let himself be checked on Tuesday evening on the Toulouse ring road. He took all the risks to escape the police.
He didn’t want to miss a family event the next day so he took every risk to evade the police. Tuesday evening, around 11 p.m., a check was organized on the inner ring road at the Purpan service station in Toulouse. A car arrived but, on seeing the police, its driver decided not to go through the gas pump. It restarted very quickly.
Immediately, the patrol activated its two-tone and chased the car for the controller but the driver did not hear it that way. He first left the ring road at the Purpan exit to find himself in town, avenue de Grande-Bretagne. Followed by the police, he ran through red lights and took roundabouts in the opposite direction, always at high speed. In order to shake off the patrol, he swerved, nearly hitting it.
Everything in the following, the police passed the car to the file and realized that it was a vehicle declared stolen on June 22 in the Bouches-du-Rhône. Back on the ring road, the fugitive succeeded in his crazy race by peaking at more than 150 km / h. Several patrols sought to intercept him for long minutes until he stopped the car in the Borderouge sector, north of Toulouse.
Long stay in prison
The man behind the wheel and his two passengers tried to escape the police by fleeing on foot, but they were quickly arrested. The driver, aged 24, explained, in police custody, that he had fled because he did not want to miss a party planned for the next day.
Indeed, he knew that he would not escape police custody because he was driving without a license and, already reported to the police, he was coming out of a long stay in detention.
Regarding the vehicle, the offender assured that he was unaware that it was stolen. He had been lent to bring back one of his friends from Toulouse.
The two passengers, aged 22 and 35, were released. The police have filed a complaint for having been endangered during the boarding.
