MČ Prague 5 » New Nursing Assistance Center in Košířy
05/08/2022
Prague 5 district under the auspices of councilor JUDr. Petra Lachnita (ANO), who is responsible for the social area, security and crime prevention, opened another community center today. “if they go to be close to citizens who cannot do without outside help.”, press at the ceremonial opening of one of the other Nursing Assistance Centers for Prague 5.
Interested parties from Košíř, Hřebenek, Cibulek, Motola and other nearby locations will be able to visit the workplace. Citizens of Prague 5 can come for advice at any time in a difficult situation. A social worker and coordinator of nursing services will be available. The care service is provided not only to the senior public (people over 65 years old), but also to physically and medically disabled people over 35 years old or to families with triplets and multiple children aged 0 to 6 years. The field form of social assistance makes it possible to visit clients in their home environment.
One of the other goals is for the client to maintain a maximum level of self-service and therefore not become dependent on the service in areas where it is not absolutely necessary. The nursing service provides a wide range of activities. Caregivers of clients can help with hygiene, with the preparation and serving of food and drink, provide support for safe movement around the apartment or outside, help clients with dressing and undressing, run errands (to buy food, medicine, etc.), do laundry laundry in the washing machine, hangs it, irons it and delivers it to the closet, performs basic household cleaning or delivers lunches from an external supplier to clients’ homes. Clients can use Taxi Maxík vehicle transport, and in the case of available carers, ask for walking pets and feeding them, or accompanying them for a walk, shopping or to a social event.
“Caregivers and coordinators are not only the client’s “spare” hands and feet, but (especially in the case of lonely people) often their only psychological support and security in difficult times. It often happens that personal care services are the only people the client talks to all day,” adds Helena Volechová, director of the CSOP for Prague 5
By opening another community center directly in the locality of Košíř in Villa Áda on Plzeňská Street, it is expanding for citizens who live near Košíř, Hřebenek, Cibulek, Motola and other nearby locations. Citizens of Prague 5 can come for advice regarding CSOP services. A social worker and coordinator of nursing services will be available.
