Arsenal make a nice move at Crystal Palace

For the resumption of the Premier League, Arsenal displayed a rather attractive face during an always complicated trip to the Crystal Palace field. The Gunners won thanks to an achievement by Gabriel Martinelli and a but against his camp by Marc Guéhi (0-2).
Arsenal led the 2022-2023 Premier League season as they had completed their preparation: with success. It was certainly not as authoritative and impressive as against Chelsea (4-0) or Sevilla FC (6-0) but a victory at Crystal Palace is never to be trivialised. With William Saliba holder in the central axis and also the two recruits from Manchester City, Oleksandr Zintchenko and Gabriel Jesus, Mikel Arteta’s formation offered a very high first quarter of an hour, suffocating Patrick Vieira’s Palace in large proportions by multiplying the sequences of pressing and dangerous attacks.
An ideal ename before giving up
During his highlight, Arsenal was able to open the scoring thanks to a good combination. Following a corner taken by Bukayo Saka, Zintchenko found himself alone at the far post via a fine run and the former Manchester City element found a nice header from Gabriel Martinelli who sent the ball into the net ( 0-1, 20th). Paradoxically, this but rather calmed the ardor of the Gunners who suffered a sharp drop in speed thereafter, logically in a start of the season. Aaron Ramsdale won in fine fashion ahead of Odsonne Edouard’s header (42nd), then against Eberechi Eze’s shot in the second act (52nd).
The twist of fate to make the break
Unable to get their foot on the ball and handing it over to Vieira’s players, the Gunners had to suffer for a long time in the last 10 minutes, without really being able to do otherwise. Arteta replaced the two reigning English champions, Gabriel Jesus and Zintchenko (83rd) and was able to breathe a few seconds later on a stroke of luck. The center of Saka found the head of a very unfortunate Marc Guéhi because the defender did not know how to avoid the ball which, finally, ended its race in the goal (0-2, 85th). The Gunners supporters could then scan the name of Patrick Vieira, the club’s former midfielder, with the 3 points of victory in their pockets.
