A 29-year-old foreigner was arrested for illegal transportation of foreigners by police officers of the Mygdonia Immigration Management Department of the Directorate of Foreigners in Thessaloniki.
According to the police, the 29-year-old was located and arrested at the bus terminal of O.A.S.TH. in the area of Hortiatis, while according to the police he facilitated the movement of five of his compatriots, who did not have residence documents in the country, boarding the organized ones on city buses after supplying them with the appropriate tickets and giving them instructions for their transfer to the city of Athens . .
At the same time, a 49-year-old citizen was arrested in the area of Stavroupoli, who in I.X.E. car he was driving was found to be occupied by two (2) foreigners without legal documents.
Those arrested, with the files filed against them, will be taken to the competent Prosecutor.
It is noted that the police officers of the General Police Directorate of Thessaloniki carry out daily targeted checks to identify persons involved in the illegal transportation of foreigners within the country.
