Current | Sweden will probably have a cheap electricity day
A minimal price drop ensured that it did not become a fourth day in a row with a new summer electricity price record in Eastern and Western Norway, but the price continues at a sky-high level.
Including VAT, electricity before online rent costs DKK 2.92 on average on Friday.

In south-west Norway, the price increases slightly, and becomes 4.34 kroner on average, with a price in the morning of 5.31 kroner.
The country is now usually between England and Germany in terms of price. In recent times, electricity has mainly been imported from England and exported to Denmark and Germany.
Exports continue
And this export continues on Friday despite the high prices and low water level in the region: 25.6 GWh is sent to Germany, which is 76 percent of capacity.
I also send around 15 GWh to Denmark. We import just over 8 GWh from England.
The Swedes live in a different world
It is often said that the Norwegian and Swedish power grids are fully integrated, but the price differences between Norway and Sweden are currently extremely high.
While new prices have been set in parts of southern Norway all this week, southern Sweden has its 3rd day in a row with prices below 20 øre for electricity.
This means that the average price in the south-west country is approximately 20 times higher than in Sweden.
The reason is a combination of Sweden having far less hydropower than Norway, nuclear power which has increased production recently, a good deal of wind power – and very cheap imports of Norwegian power from central and northern Norway.
In Northern and Central Norway, prices are also lower than in Sweden: The price remains stable at 1.4 øre throughout the day.
