We will stop the chaos in Prague. The new movement wants to repair the damage in the metropolis
Prague without chaos. This is not only the wish of a part of Prague residents who are not satisfied with the current leadership of the metropolis, but also the new name of a political movement whose goal is to return expertise to the municipality and rid Prague of that very chaos. On Tuesday, the movement presented the main points of the program and some candidates for mayor of city districts.
“We can’t watch it anymore. The current state of governance of our beloved city is very sad. Activism, sloppiness, incompetence reign everywhere, nobody is responsible for anything, not even in a situation where the deputy mayor is led away by the police in handcuffs. Corruption is rampant at the municipality, which is also transmitted to municipal companies such as the transport company or Pražská plynárenská. This chaos must end,” said the leader of the movement, Jaroslav Ďuriš, at the press conference.

Among the main goals, they set the restoration of citizens’ trust in the leadership of the town halls of the city districts and the management of the municipality. “Now we have another chance to reverse this desperate development of recent years. We are entering the autumn election race as a movement called Prague without Chaos. We are a group of experts, managers, professionals who have sufficiently demonstrated their erudition in the past. In the first place, we will deal with transport, the development of the public transport system, the preparation and implementation of key transport structures necessary to calm traffic in the city, we will also deal with parking. We are determined to fight energy poverty and will respond to the effects of the energy crisis in such a way that the burden does not fall on the citizen’s wallet. We will use all available options that will make people feel better. We will help people in need,” added mayoral candidate Ďuriš.
The movement also presented the candidate for the mayor of Prague 10, Bohumil Zoufalík, who held the position of head of the tenth Prague district for many years in the past. “Prague 10 has now experienced four difficult years, in which rents rose, taxes increased, and social and health services were canceled. Prague 10 opened its back to the people, but this did not prevent it from taking on a debt of 500 million crowns, which it will repay over the next 20 years. Prague 10 is in chaos and we intend to fix it,” said Zoufalík.
The candidate for the mayor of Prague 13, Pavel Jaroš, or the candidate for the post of city councilor, Monika Hášová, also spoke at the press conference on Prague’s Smíchovská embankment.
