Mayors of Alentejo and Turismo de Portugal sign partnership agreement
The UNESCO Center was the place chosen for the promotion and qualification in the area of Tourism, with the signing of the protocols of the + Próxima Program, signed with the presidents and councilors of some municipalities in the districts of Beja and Évora and Turismo de Portugal.
The purpose of the meeting was, in addition to signing the agreements, to formalize them with the presence of the Secretary of State for Tourism, Commerce and Services, Rita Marques, that of Turismo de Portugal, Luís Araú and the mayor of the Chamber of Beja, Paulo arsenic.
The Training + Próxima Program aims to train 75 thousand workers in the private sector of Tourism, and will be covered by the municipalities of Aljustrel, Almodôvar, Alvito, Arraiolos, Beja, Castro Verde, Ferreira do Alentejo, Grândola, Odemira, Ourique, Santiago do Cacém, Sines and Viana do Alentejo.
The public sector also benefited from these agreements with the involvement of the municipalities, which were the basis for the development of the program, signed in Moura, in May of the year.
The role of the Hospitality and Tourism Schools schools also presents at the ceremony one of the entities that guarantee as conditions and the main means of training for workers in the tourism sector, to train entrepreneurs, managers, intermediate and operational staff.
