POLITICIANS IN THEIR OWN WORDS KDU-ČSL for Praha 5 on their Facebook on July 31 for municipal elections
Trust is a general condition of a functional relationship. The trust cannot be replaced by a contract and does not have a section in the collection of laws. Yet it is the best glue that holds the human community together. Reasonable confidence in self-government is the source of democracy’s viability.
Low voter turnout and reluctance to engage in politics are a sign of a loss of confidence. It has its roots in bad experiences. The upcoming elections may be a kind of referendum on confidence. It is up to each of us whether the efforts of KDU-ČSL representatives and active and fearless people from the Greens and civic associations will have a happy ending.
Our goal is to restore confidence in the self-government’s ability to act. We do not want to write down other strategies and action programs. There have already been enough of them for several election periods. We do not offer another period of promises, but a time of joint work, which not only has a beginning, but also a successful end.
