CNPF contributes to increasing the level of financial education of young people – Moldova – Insurance – All about insurance – Romanian insurance market
The vice-president of the National Financial Market Commission (CNPF), Adrian Gheorghita, moderated a financial education session for the participants of the FINedu Camp 2022 summer camp, which took place between July 25-30, 2022. The purpose of the project consisted in increasing the degree of familiarization of young people with basic notions of public finance, corporate finance and personal finance, so that they can make intelligent financial decisions.
During the financial education activity moderated by CNPF, the participants had the opportunity to learn about the mission and role of the supervisory authority, as well as the aspects of the activity of the three sectors of the non-bank financial market (insurance, capital and non-bank lending). The young people were interested in the types of mandatory and optional insurance, the conditions for contracting a non-bank loan, what is the effective annual interest, the instruments, the financial products available in the Republic of Moldova.
At the end, CNPF awarded the most active participants, giving them financial education and personal development books.
The training was organized in the context of the partnership between CNPF and Asociatia Obsteasca FINEDU and is part of new institutional approaches regarding increasing interest in financial education activities and awareness of the importance in the economic development of the country.
Note: The FINedu Camp 2022 summer camp has been realized within the Grants Program offered by the Ministry of Education and Research, in collaboration with several partners from the public and private environment.
