27 kilometers long, the 3e metro line from Toulouse, to link to Colomiers a Labege, via the Pink City and its major aeronautical hubs. While the project is expected for 2028, the bulk of the work will actually begin at the end of 2022 with the civil engineering works.

All summer, Toulouse News you discover what your district should apply to, in a few years, after the establishment of the metro stations. Second episode of this series: the stationAirbus Colomiers Ramassiers.

What you need to know about the Airbus Colomiers Ramassiers station

This will be the first stopover after the terminus to the northwest of Toulouse: the station known as “Airbus Colomiers Ramassiers” (the names are not yet final, editor’s note) will be located in a booming district, at the interface between Toulouse and Colomiers. It will be deployed on the edge of the RN124, the expressway linking Auch to Toulouse and leading to one of the Airbus factories in the aeronautics capital. It will be slightly below interchange no. 3, exit “Ramassiers”.

Located right in front of the Airbus factory, the station will be excavated on fallow land. As Jean-Michel Lattes, the president of Tisséo, had explained to Toulouse news, “It’s a little urbanized site. The idea is to create a multimodal esplanade to make it possible to make the link with the factory, but also with the pavilions located nearby”.

Before and after the arrival of the Airbus Colomiers Ramassiers station, here is what the neighborhood will look like:

The new Ramassiers district nearby

According to Tisséo’s plans, the station must therefore make it possible to serve the sectors of activity to the north of the station, in particular the aeronautical park, but also the existing and future residential sectors.

It will be located not far from several subdivisions of Colomiers, but also of the Ramassiers ZAC, new 140-hectare district almost complete, with 60% housing (about 2,000 housing units) and nearly 50,000 m2 of offices. The challenge will therefore be to also capture this new population, which can already use the so-called “line C” train link to the Arènes, and the Linéo 2 bus line (Colomiers-Arènes).

According to the studies expected by Tisséo, with a traffic estimate attributed to a maximum of 3,900 validations per day, this station would be among the least requested on the line behind Airbus Colomiers (4,300) and well behind Colomiers Gare (11,600) . But according to the projections, it is called to increase in power.
