Hertha’s new center forward Kanga is already on his way to Berlin!
On Thursday evening, attacker Wilfried Kanga (24) from Young Boys Bern was rested in the second leg of the Europa League Conference qualifier against FK Liepaja (3-0) so as not to endanger the move to the German capital in the final meters.
Already on Saturday Kanga will sign a contract after the medical examination in Berlin.
According to reports, Hertha will transfer between three and four million euros to Bern, where Kanga’s contract runs until 2024.
Last season, the 1.89m giant scored 16 goals and five goals in 42 competitive games for Bern. Also this season Kanga has scored three goals and prepared one goal in the first two league matchdays.
Hertha manager Fredi Bobic (50) has one less Hertha construction site.
However, the attacker cannot yet participate in the first round of the DFB Cup on Sunday at second division side Eintracht Braunschweig (6:01 p.m. / Sky). It would have been necessary to register the transfer by 4 p.m. on Friday.
