the future of the Russian automotive industry | Bazaar

Sugar Mizzy July 28, 2022

In the world

The other day, the Russian AvtoVAZ leaves with the first moments of the military invasion of Ukraine a batch of “domestic” cars. The cost of a Lada car without airbags, software, normal air conditioning, an automatic window opening system and other modern options exceeded … one and a half million rubles, or $30,000! Just think about it: $30,000 for a car that functions like a typical 1980s computer.

Of the thousands of caustic comments on this news in the Russian media, the most accurate was the phrase “Here, freaks!” the authorship of the character Viktor Sukhorukov in two parts of “Brother”.

Indeed, mediocrity and freaks from AvtoVAZ do not increase and do not increase the significance of something more or less worthwhile in terms of Western observations. Only super-expensive “buckets on wheels” that are sent to the other world for a large number of drivers, passengers and pedestrians.

Until February 24, the “Russian” auto industry. Components from all over the world live in foreign factories – for example, Moscow’s Renault – and the Russians, with the help of imported machines, need to assemble “domestic” cars.

After the outbreak of the war, all countries of the world refused to send components, spare parts and finished cars to Russia. As a result, already in March, car production decreased by 96%. Factories have closed. Tens of thousands of workers were sent to “idle” (this is the Slovak representation of the Russian media in relation to laid-off workers).

During the months of the war, the situation deteriorated so much that the prices of the best cars, like BMW, rose by about 5 times compared to the same United States. We have such machines cost $50-$60 thousand. In Russia – $250-$300 thousand. Naturally, even rich Russians do not risk giving such huge money for them. After all, if something breaks in a BMW, the car has to be locked in the garage, since there are no spare parts, and it is not expected.

The situation with cars in Russia is extremely deplorable, that in a few years the country will return to the 1960s, when the car was a luxury and scarcity, and did not move. Cars on the go will be only for rich people “with connections.” Up to 90% of residents will transfer to public transport.

One of the biggest clowns against the backdrop of the liquidated car industry looks like Moscow Mayor Sobyanin. He announced the renaming of the “squeezed out” French Renault plant to “Moskvich” and pledged to revive the production of cars of the “legendary Soviet brand”. For quick assembly, that for the assembly of the ugly “Moskvich” in the configuration of the 1960s, approximately 15 thousand parts are needed.

Propaganda feeds quilted jackets with preoccupied myths about the “bright future of the Russian automobile industry.”

First – Cuba is also under sanctions, but manages to repair old cars for more than half a century.

Moreover, cars in Cuba are so beautiful that they are a special tourist attraction.

“If the Cubans found it, then we can too!”

Firstly, all American cars in Cuba are hand-operated, manufactured in the 1950s and 1970s. They can be extended to infinity with the very first set of tools. In Russia, two-thirds of cars are detected by software and electronics. They cannot be repaired with a screwdriver and a hammer.

Secondly, Cubans are the real “kulibins”. In their hands there is a need for an uncomfortable place. They literally put an engine from an industrial refrigerator in the car and restored even the most rusty rubbish.

In Russia, repair shops are almost completely destroyed, as Europe and the United States send spare parts and equipment in the required quantity.

The second myth: Chinese cars appear on the Russian market.

declares every day that he is not going to violate the ruling against Russia, but the Kremlin propaganda still praises Xi Jinping as the main friend and partner.

It is estimated that the sale of cars and spare parts to Russia in the Celestial Empire is estimated at no more than 20 billion dollars. in year. US sanctions against China are fraught with trillions in losses and starvation in a country of 1.5 billion people.

Myth three: the production of cars in Russia will still be adjusted to insulin.

The most delusional myth, since even the mentioned “bucket on wheels” for 30 thousand dollars consists of 75% foreign parts, and some of them had to be picked out of cars.

By the way, the countries of use and Scandinavia have already banned “Russian cars of simplified configuration” from passing through the territory. Such transport does not meet safety requirements. Therefore, Putinists have to ride “buckets” exclusively inside Rashka.

Today, many Putinites are probably wondering what will happen to the Russian economy.

The question is not entirely correct, since the words “economy” and “Russia” are no longer compatible. By “economy” it is necessary to understand all those foreign companies that turn a wild country into a more or less civilized one. Now those companies are gone, and the economy is gone with them. No cars, no planes, no electronic devices, no branded clothes and shoes, no good building materials, no cinemas – none of this will happen. The country is plunging into the very swamp that has always been present, and the entire civilized world has the opportunity to see the real Russia and the real Russian ugliness.

75% of citizens dream of returning to Soviet times. This wish will soon be fulfilled. It is quite easy to predict the periods where Putin’s time machine will take 140 million people. The indicator of commodity deficit and the deficit of the country will occur in the 1970s, and in terms of the magnitude of repression, propaganda and censorship – immediately in the 1930s.
